Dr. Charlie Howard talks about preserving his land through
D&R Greenway Land Trust
Announcing Preservation of our Milestone 250th Preserved Property!
This land has a long family history. The seller’s grandfather purchased over 100 acres for $3,000 at the turn of the 20th century. The seller, Walter Wooden, passed away during the preservation process. His wife continued with Walter’s commitment because it was so important to him. Now, that’s a legacy!
Thank you to our partners for helping us achieve this milestone:
- NJDEP Green Acres Program
- West Amwell Township Open Space Committee
- Hunterdon Land Trust
- Hunterdon County Open Space Program
- The Willow School, which contributed to long-term stewardship through a Habitat Exchange Living Building Challenge to mitigate for 2 acres of new building on their campus
D&R Greenway is a nationally accredited Land Trust!
