Named Gift Opportunities

Would you like to further the mission of D&R Greenway Land Trust? A contribution to name a part of our Land Preservation Center (see named gift opportunities below), or an in-kind gift can help us achieve our goals faster.

We invite you to consider several unique opportunities to help support the Johnson Education Center:

RWJ Auditorium hand-hewn beams are appropriate for naming Bench in memory of Peg Benton, life long volunteer and conservationist

  • You could "name" one of the structural beams visible in the Johnson Education Center's upper rooms. These beams are hand-hewn and date from the 18th and 19th centuries. Plaques provide space for recognition, which could include a poem or photo. Four beams are still available at $10,000 per beam.
  • Purchasing a whimsical bench with a commemorative plaque is a lasting way to celebrate a milestone, such as a wedding, birth of a child, or remember a special person. Each bench is $2,500 and the first two have been installed in the Edward T. Cone Grove and overlooking Meredith's Garden.
  • Name a trail out on one of our preserves to remember a loved one, or honor a special person.

If you would like more information about these gift opportunities, please call 609.924.4646.

Meredith's Garden

Meredith's Garden was established in honor of Meredith Peterson, a dedicated mother, friend, wife and philanthropist, who passed away in 2006 after a four-year battle with cancer. See article about Meredith in New Jersey Monthly
