*Traffic Alert for Rosedale Road, Princeton, NJ

Traffic delays will occur on Rosedale Road between Princeton Pike and Elm Road due to bridge construction over the Stony Brook in Princeton Township. The bridge will be closed for approximately 4-5 months beginning as early as June 23. Delays and detours are very likely to occur. Visitors should plan extra travel time and an alternate route for reaching the Johnson Education Center. During this time, this section of Rosedale Road will be closed to traffic. The project is scheduled to commence on or about June 23, 2009 and will be completed in four and a half (4.5) months time (135calendar days), weather permitting. During this time, this section of Rosedale Road will be closed to all traffic.

DIRECTIONS TO THE JOHNSON EDUCATION CENTER:

From Princeton:

  1. Follow Nassau Street  South towards Route 206
  2. Bear left in front of the Princeton Borough Municipal Building; continuing on Rt. 206 South
  3. Turn right at 2nd light, at Elm Road
  4. Turn left at next light, at Rosedale Road
  5. Follow for ½ mile and look for sign with stone base for D&R Greenway Land Trust and Preservation Place on the left.  Turn left and wind to right to enter courtyard parking
  6. If this parking lot is full, return to Rosedale Road and make a left.  Turn left and follow to parking lot on left side of road in front of athletic fields.  The lot is opposite Johnson Park School.

From Lawrenceville* Modified due to closure of a portion of Rosedale Road for construction:

  1. Take Rt. 206 N. to Carter Road, just over a mile past Gordon Avenue
  2. Continue north on Route 206 to Elm Road
  3. Turn left and follow to Rosedale Road. Make left on Rosedale Road (traffic light)
  4. Follow for about 1/2 mile and look for the Johnson Education Center on the left
  5. Turn left into Preservation Place stone base for D&R Greenway Land Trust Turn and wind to right and enter courtyard parking
  6. If this parking lot is full, return to Rosedale Road and make a left.  Follow to parking lot on left in front of athletic fields.  The lot is opposite Johnson Park School

From Hopewell*Modified due to closure of a portion of Rosedale Road for construction:

  1. Take Broad Street/Route 518 East toward Montgomery Township
  2. At traffic light with Route 601/Great Road, make a right at traffic light.
  3. Continue straight through Blawenburg, past Cherry Valley and through four way intersection.
  4. Pass Princeton Day School on your right. The road changes names to Elm Road.
  5. Follow down hill and when you the reach next traffic light, make a right on Rosedale Road.
  6. Follow for 1/2 mile and turn left into Preservation Place.  Wind to right and enter courtyard parking
  7. If this parking lot is full, return to Rosedale Road and make a left.  Follow to parking lot on left in front of athletic fields.  The lot is opposite Johnson Park School.

From Cranbury:

  1. From Main Street., take Plainsboro Road/Scudders Mill Road. to Route 1
  2. Use jughandle to enter Route 1 South
  3. In less than a mile, look for signs to Alexander Road West towards Princeton and turn right onto ramp
  4. Follow Alexander Road till it ends in a “T” at Mercer Street
  5. Turn left onto Mercer Street., then right onto Library Place
  6. Turn left at next light at Route 206/Stockton Street
  7. Turn right at next light at Elm Road
  8. Turn left at next light at Rosedale Road
  9. Follow for ½ mile and look for sign with stone base for D&R Greenway Land Trust and Preservation Place on the left.  Turn into short  street and wind to right and enter courtyard parking
  10. If this parking lot is full, return to Rosedale Road and make a left.  Follow to parking lot on left in front of athletic fields.  The lot is opposite Johnson Park School.

From Shore Points/Bordentown Area *Modified for bridge construction:

  1. Take I-195 West and exit when you see signs for 295 North toward Princeton.
  2. Follow Route 295 North for approximately 12 miles.  Route 295 becomes Route 295/ 95 as you travel north and toward Pennsylvania.  Two exits past the interchange with Route 1- Trenton/New Brunswick you will see signs for Route 206 North
  3. Exit at 7B for Route 206 North and Lawrenceville. Continue north to Elm Road.
  4. Turn left and follow to Rosedale Road. Make left on Rosedale Road (traffic light)
  5. Follow for about 1/2 mile and look for the Johnson Education Center on the left
  6. Turn left into Preservation Place stone base for D&R Greenway Land Trust Turn and wind to right and enter courtyard parking
  7. If this parking lot is full, return to Rosedale Road and make a left.  Follow to parking lot on left in front of athletic fields.  The lot is opposite Johnson Park School.

From New York/Newark:

  1. Take the NJ Turnpike S. to Exit 9
  2. Follow signs to US Rt. 1 SOUTH headed towards Princeton and Trenton
  3. After about 14 miles, look for signs to Alexander Rd. W. towards Princeton and turn right onto ramp
  4. Follow Alexander Road till it ends in a "T" at Mercer Street
  5. Turn left onto Mercer Street, then right onto Library Place
  6. Turn left at next light at Rt. 206/Stockton Street
  7. Turn right at next light at Elm Road
  8. Turn left at next light at Rosedale Road
  9. Follow for ½  mile. Pass entrance on left for Greenway Meadows and and look for Preservation Place and the Johnson Education Center on the left
  10. See sign with stone base for D&R Greenway Land Trust and Preservation Place on the left.  Turn into short street and wind to right to enter courtyard parking
  11. If this parking lot is full, return to Rosedale Road and make a left.  Follow to parking lot on left in front of athletic fields.  The lot is opposite Johnson Park School.
