Erica Barton Haba created the Donald B. Jones Award plate. Her design is based on one of a series of ancient mosaics in the floor of the Church of San Marco in Venice dating from the 4th to the 6th centuries. The origin is probably Byzantine. The design represents infinity in the form of an endlessly circling band. The inner "ribbon" of water bordered by green is set on an earthly ground with abstract plant forms. The center around which the design turns is the D&R Greenway maple leaf logo.
