D&R Greenway Land Trust is working to preserve and protect a permanent network of natural lands and open spaces in central New Jersey. Our mission is to provide appropriate public access to these areas and encourage active lifestyles and a greater appreciation of the natural world.

Below is a list of existing or planned walking trails created and maintained by D&R Greenway Land Trust in natural areas we have purchased for preservation or for which we hold a conservation easement. If you are interested in helping create and maintain trails, contact Jim Amon at 609-924-4646, ext. 124.

    (Public funding, mainly from New Jersey Green Acres program, was vital to the preservation of these natural areas.)

In 2002, D&R Greenway Land Trust founded the New Jersey Trails Association in collaboration with several other land preservation organizations. The NJTA is a resource for citizens who are looking for reliable, current information and maps on walking trails and wonderful hiking destinations in the region.
